Where to Park for a Workout on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills (and How to Get There Without a Car)

The lot behind the building is free for members with no time limit, so parking on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills is not the hassle it sounds like. Meters, side streets, routes from Tarzana and Canoga Park, and how to get to class on Metro.

Society 3

If you are looking for parking on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills before a class at Society 3, the short answer is that you do not need the street. The lot behind the building at 21144 Ventura Blvd is free for members with no time limit, so you can pull in, walk to the door, and forget about the meter for the whole hour.

That covers most visits. The rest of this page is for everything else: how the Ventura meters work, which side streets are free, how to get here from Tarzana, Encino, Canoga Park, or West Hills, what to do without a car, and how the 15 minute early arrival fits all of it.

Where do members park? The free lot behind the building, with no time limit

The lot behind the building is the answer for almost everyone. It is free for members, there is no time limit, and it is a short walk to the door. You do not have to feed a meter, move the car at the top of the hour, or watch the clock during the strength zone.

Pull in behind the building, park, and come in. That is the whole process. If you are visiting for the first time and want to know what happens between the car and the floor, the first class guide walks through it, including the waiver and how your coach sets you up.

Parking on Ventura Blvd in Woodland Hills: the meters, how to pay, and why to skip them for class

The spots along Ventura Blvd are metered. If the lot is your plan, you never need them. If you prefer the street, here is how the meters work.

Every parking meter in the City of Los Angeles accepts credit cards as well as coins, and each meter has a posted time limit and posted enforcement hours, according to the LADOT parking meters FAQ. The block in front of the studio can have a different limit than the block across the street, so read the sign nearest your spot.

Here is the practical reason to skip the meters for class. A TriMethod class is 60 minutes. Add the 15 minutes you are asked to arrive early and a few minutes to change and refill your bottle after, and you are past 75 minutes at the curb. A meter with a 1 hour limit does not cover that, and a meter you have to run out and top up in the middle of the Functional zone is not a meter you want. The lot behind the building has no limit. Use the lot.

If you do use a meter, pay for the full time you expect to be inside, not just the class, and check whether enforcement is in effect at your class time. Early morning and Sunday rules vary block to block, and the sign is the only source that counts.

Are the side streets off Ventura free? Yes, but read the signs

The side streets off Ventura near the studio are free, and they are the second best option after the lot. The catch is that they carry posted limits. Some blocks have hourly limits during the day, some have street sweeping windows, and some have permit restrictions. None of that is a reason to avoid them. It is a reason to read the sign at the end of the block before you walk away from the car.

  • Check the street sweeping day and time on the sign. A class that overlaps a sweeping window is a ticket waiting to happen.
  • Give driveways and hydrants a full car length of room.
  • Bring what you need for class with you. Walking back to the car mid session defeats the point of parking close.

If you are unsure about a block, the lot is behind the building and free for members. When in doubt, take the lot.

Coming from Tarzana, Encino, or Sherman Oaks: Ventura Blvd or the 101

If you are east of the studio, you have two straightforward routes. The first is Ventura Blvd itself, heading west. It is slower at rush hour because of the signals, but it puts you directly in front of 21144 Ventura Blvd with no freeway exit to think about. If you are searching for a Woodland Hills gym near Tarzana, this is the drive: one road, no turns until you reach the building.

The second route is the 101 west. Exit in Woodland Hills, head south to Ventura, and turn toward the studio. This is faster from Sherman Oaks and from anywhere further east, and it is the better choice for evening classes when Ventura is stacked with commuters. Either way, turn in behind the building for the lot.

For evening classes with Kelcey, leave a little more room than the map app suggests. Westbound traffic on both Ventura and the 101 is heaviest in the late afternoon, and the 15 minute early arrival is easier to hit when you plan for it instead of racing it.

Coming from Canoga Park, West Hills, or Warner Center

If you are west or north of the studio, Ventura Blvd is usually the simplest approach. From West Hills, come down to Ventura and head east. From Canoga Park, take one of the north to south streets down to Ventura and turn east. Warner Center is a few minutes away by car and, as covered below, is also the hub for the bus options.

Morning classes with Arvin and Saturday sessions are the easy ones from this side. The one thing to watch is that eastbound Ventura in the morning carries commuters heading toward the 101, so give yourself the same cushion you would give an evening class.

No car? Metro 150 on Ventura Blvd, the 601 from Warner Center, and biking

You do not need a car to train here. Ventura Blvd is a bus corridor, and the studio sits right on it.

Metro Local 150

Metro Local 150 runs between Chatsworth and Encino via Topanga Canyon Blvd and Ventura Blvd, according to the LA Metro schedules and maps page, and its timetable lists Woodland Hills stops. That makes it the direct bus to Woodland Hills on Ventura Blvd from Tarzana and Encino to the east and from Canoga Park and Chatsworth to the north. Get off at the stop nearest 21144 Ventura Blvd and walk to the front door. Current weekday and weekend times are in the Line 150 timetable effective June 7, 2026, and it is worth checking the schedule against your class time before you leave.

Metro Local 240

Metro Local 240 runs between Northridge and Universal City via Reseda Blvd and Ventura Blvd, per the same schedules page. It does not reach Woodland Hills. Its westernmost stop on Ventura is at Reseda Blvd in Tarzana, so if you are coming from Sherman Oaks or Studio City, ride the 240 west along Ventura and transfer to the 150 in Tarzana for the last stretch.

Line 601 from Warner Center

Line 601, the Warner Center Shuttle, runs from the G Line at Canoga Station through the Warner Center Transit Hub to De Soto and Burbank, per the Line 601 timetable effective December 14, 2025. If you are coming from the G Line, ride to Canoga Station, take the 601 into Warner Center, and finish the trip to the studio on foot or with a transfer to the 150 on Ventura. It adds a step, but it opens the studio up to anyone along the G Line without a car.

Biking

Ventura Blvd is flat through Woodland Hills, and from Tarzana or Canoga Park a bike ride to class is a warm up rather than a workout. Bring your own lock, and if you want to know where to lock up before your first ride, text us at (818) 936-6229.

One note on bus timing. The 15 minute early arrival is the same whether you drive or ride. Pick a bus that gets you to Ventura Blvd before the 15 minute early arrival, with a cushion, so a late bus does not become a missed class.

How should you time your visit? Arrive 15 minutes early, train for 60, then leave

Every class is 60 minutes, and you are asked to arrive 15 minutes early. The early arrival gives your coach time to get you set up on your cardio machine, gives you time to change and fill your bottle, and, if you are driving, gives you a buffer for the lot on a busy morning. Plan on at least 75 minutes at the studio, plus time to change, which is exactly why the free lot with no time limit beats a metered spot.

Leaving is simple. The lot is behind the building, and you are back on Ventura or the 101 in a few minutes. The studio policies page covers arrival, cancellations, and guest passes.

What is inside once you park? Two bathrooms, three changing rooms, and a water refill station

Once you are through the door, the logistics get simple. There are two bathrooms, stocked with feminine hygiene products, spray deodorant, dry shampoo, hair ties, and thin headbands. There are three changing rooms with mirrors, so you can arrive in work clothes and change without waiting for a bathroom. And there is a water refill station that doubles as a drinking fountain, so you do not need to stop for a bottle on the way.

Bring your workout clothes, shoes, and a water bottle. If you have a question about what to bring, the FAQ covers the most common ones.
